This is a very informative and entertaining book. It begins with the foundations of developing the skill of understanding others.
Carnegie extends 3 principles that help you identify what other people want and how you can satisfy them. Then he introduces 6 ways to make people like you. These methods are around the same3 principles discussed at the beginning of the book. Most of the principles in this book seem like common sense, but we just don’t think of how important they are to follow.
You’ll need to read this book to learn the methods and apply them to influence you. It can change your outlook on life and relationships in ways that you never imagine would happen.
The book draws attention to the fact that in order to do well socially one often has to compromise between what one wants to do, and what is appropriate in the situation. I find it a must read book that can make a big difference in life.
